Race report: Yusuf Bizimana of VPH&THAC is the NCAA indoor 800m champion!
Gavin LauCongratulations to Yusuf Bizimana NCAA indoor 800m champion after an exciting race in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
After a protest, Texas’ Yusuf Bizimana won the men’s 800m in 1:46.02 at the 2023 NCAA indoor track and field championships. Mississippi State’s Navasky Anderson originally won the race in 1:45.90 but was disqualified after a protest for flagrantly impeding as they crossed the finish line.
An athlete from the junior VPH&THAC training group mentored by Alf Vickers and Cornelia Abe-Minale, who has travelled to the US to study and compete in Track & Field.
