Race Report: Met League Race 4 – Welwyn Garden City
Gavin LauTrain strikes didn’t deter the VPH XC Brigade as we went full steam ahead at Welwyn Garden City.
Thanks to getting our act together and booking a coach for the journey to WGC, a large team of VPH participants turned out. The men continued their string of 2nd place finishes behind Highgate with their highest score since the 1st fixture at Claybury, while the women finished 3rd behind London Heathside and Thames Valley Harriers, leaving it all to play for at Trent Park in a month’s time.

An impressive turn out resulted in some great team and individual results. With 1 remaining fixture to come, the senior VPH teams currently sit:

- Senior men – 2nd place
- Vet men – 1st place
- Vet women – 1st place
- Howard Williams Trophy – 1st place
