Announcement: 2022 club awards
Gavin LauThe annual club awards were announced at the Christmas Party this year. Firstly thank you to all those involved in hosting this fantastic event and great to see some old friends turn up unexpectedly!
June reminded us about the origins of the club spirit of awards and gave a thoughtful speech explaining the reasons for awarding the trophies to Nicola Kerr and Russel Toone.
The most improved athlete nominations put forward by fellow club members were plentiful and celebratory in nature. After some PO10 consultation by the stato-elves we congratulate both Laura Thompson and Reef Erdogan for winning the 2022 awards. Please also take the time to review the attached google-doc with many more honourable mentions. The strength and depth of the group that has very much assembled organically over time is super impressive.
Finally, congratulations to all the Boswall league winners. The gold and bronze medals are kept safely at the clubhouse. The silver medals are lost in the post!
The 4x trophies for the most improved and spirit of xc are being engraved and will be passed to the new owners in the new year.
