Race report: 5 mile XC club championships
Gavin LauAfter casually laying out the course markers across the nooks and crannies of Woodford Green Golf Course, we welcomed 19 runners to the beautiful winter wonderland.
Hugh Murdoch gave Joe Dale a run for his money early on the first lap, but inevitably pulled away and skimming the snow covered trails to take the win in 33:09. Hazel Norton-Hale was first lady (4th overall) in 38:09. The ongoing battle of Tims continued with Tim Murray getting a notch on the scoreboard ahead of Todhunter, Miller and Soar. In grand tradition, an exploratory group managed to run an extra mile off-course but found their way safely back to the finish line (eventually)…
