Race report: National XC Champs 2023
Gavin LauMany of our athletes competed for the first time at National level. The 2023 race took place at the Bolesworth Estate in Cheshire. The 6000-acre site treated thousands of runners across the 10 races to a hard and fast course with a few undulations on a dry if slightly chilly day. The venue is well used to hosting spectacular events, and the entertainment here at the 147-year-old championships was no less inspiring.
Juniors:
Many of our athletes competed the first time at National level. Top performance in the U15G race: Ruby James (12th) and Lyra McDonald (29th). Best team result came from the U13B: Arthur Steer (31st) Aneirin Lessard (33rd) and Khalid Hussein (62nd).
