Race report: 31st finishers at the 2023 English National 6-stage Road Relay Champs!

VPH&THAC qualified in 15th position at the Southerns regional event, and made the trip to Sutton Park to race at the English National Road Relays. A highly regarded prestigious road racing event in the grassroots club calendar.

The six individuals selected to represent the club came from an ever growing pool of talented runners, and each raced with grit and determination to fight for positions. The team registered a fantastic 32nd position on the day, and were elevated to 31st place overall after a team was DQ’d (for fielding an ineligible runner).

Congratulations to everyone who raced in the jade & blue, with the proud honour of representing the club in such a competitive field. Thank you to Coach Steve Hobbs for organising the team and the broader club community for sharing their support in the build up to this race. We welcome the cross country season with all the trimmings, and look forward to seeing you racing side by side through the 2023/24 fixtures!
